About Me

Picture
As a Northern Wisconsin native, lakes have always been of interest to me. As I've moved and travelled around the world, rivers and wetlands have also entered my vernacular. My research takes these systems I call home and combines them with biogeochemistry to understand how carbon enters, is transformed, and exits these systems. I hope to improve our understanding of the role aquatic systems play in global carbon cycling, particularly of greenhouse gases. My research has taken me to four different continents and spans various types of aquatic systems. Regardless of where I am, I try to use my research as a tool to improve humans understanding of the world around us, how it is changing, and how we can protect it from damage.
